Redefining Workspaces with Innovative and Efficient Office Design

Introduction

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and digital automation, strives to be the go-to resource for efficiency and sustainability. Their mission is to help maximize energy and resource use through digitally connected products, automation, software, services, and AI-enabled IoT solutions.

When Schneider Electric decided to relocate to a 'Grade 1' office in Msheireb, Doha, they turned to Daya to help realize this vision. This 1500 sqm office space was designed to support a flexible work culture and strengthen Schneider Electric's presence across 140 countries, enabling seamless temporary relocations for mutual support. The goal was clear: to create a high-standard, branded office that fosters adaptability and collaboration.

Approach

Daya took on the challenge, offering a full suite of services including commercial interior design, fitout and construction management, MEP engineering, brand expression, and tech integration. Inspired by organic elements and coordinated geometry, we optimized the office space to reflect Schneider Electric's branding, incorporating green elements and natural greenery.

The office design promotes a flexible work culture with features like personal lockers, duo rooms, phone booths, breakout areas with foosball, self-serve coffee machines, and bookable meeting rooms. These elements create a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

The project was not without its challenges. We had to align and localize concepts, deal with shipment delays due to the Red Sea conflict, and address inadequate power provision for the unit. Our agile work plan and close coordination with local consultants ensured we navigated these hurdles successfully, assisting Schneider Electric in requesting increased power provision and adjusting plans to keep the project on track.

Result

Our collaborative efforts with local consultants, a concept designer, and a technology system integrator resulted in a space that reflects Schneider Electric's industry leadership and supports their growth aspirations. A standout feature is the 120 sqm experience center, showcasing Schneider Electric's products, services, and case studies, providing a dynamic space for client interactions.

Not only did we meet Musheireb's platinum LEED certification standards, but we also completed the project ahead of schedule, highlighting our commitment to excellence.
