Katara Hospitality, based in Qatar, has been a trailblazer in the hotel industry for over 50 years. Their mission is to expand horizons by investing in exceptional hotels within Qatar and acquiring iconic properties worldwide. With 42 stunning hotels in their portfolio, Katara Hospitality is not just leading the hospitality game – they are shaping the future of Qatar's economy, one incredible stay at a time.
Now, they’re making a grand move from Lusail to the iconic Burj Marina building. Entrusting this ambitious transition to Daya, they are set to redefine their workspace across five dynamic floors.

Approach
Daya's vision for Katara Hospitality's new headquarters is transformative. The first three floors are a testament to smart design and sustainability, with offices and meeting rooms brought to life using 80-90% reused materials like gypsum and glass partitions. This elegant blend of past and present showcases an eco-friendly approach without compromising on style.
Venturing upwards, the next two floors cater to the best of the best. Executive offices, including the CEO’s domain, and expansive meeting rooms designed for pivotal decisions, exude sophistication and authority. This is where most of the new budget breathes life into luxurious, high-impact spaces.
The crown jewel? The top floor. An oasis of leisure boasting F&B breakout rooms, seven spacious meeting rooms, and a welcoming visitor foyer. This level seamlessly blends relaxation with productivity, crafted to wow and inspire.
A unique challenge we embraced was the integration of Katara's mockup hotel rooms—miniature showrooms that depict their hospitality excellence. Our mission: to creatively repurpose these spaces, blending them into the new environment while maintaining their original charm. By correlating functions, we crafted spaces that are both familiar and refreshingly innovative. The material room, present on both the office and leisure floors, is transformed into an experience center. Here, visitors embark on a journey through Katara Hospitality’s rich story, transitioning seamlessly through spaces designed to captivate and inform.
Result
This ongoing masterpiece, slated for completion in 2024, is a testament to Daya's ingenuity and commitment to excellence. Our design not only maximizes resource efficiency but also redefines workspace aesthetics. The experience center stands as a beacon of Katara Hospitality’s legacy, thoughtfully curated to engage and inspire.
